Cat Invaders High Wave Guide

A solo-friendly route to wave 100 and the bosses after Floppa.

High Wave Guide

Wave 25 is a participation badge. Wave 50 is Floppa. Wave 100 is where the shop either sings or you discover you spent 20 minutes upgrading wood. This high-wave guide is the route people actually use to farm 100 / 150 / 200 wave badges in Cat Invaders — not a promise you will see wave 1000. Ten accounts on Roblox own that last badge for a reason.

Read Getting Started and how to beat Floppa first. This page assumes regen armor is not a myth to you.

The solo speed route

A widely copied wave-100 tutorial does this:

  1. Play solo so spawns clump and pause is yours.
  2. Turn aim assist on (controls).
  3. Melee until ~200 Gold.
  4. Pause, buy snowball / ranged.
  5. Bank to 250, upgrade range again. Buy a merchant coin boost on sight.
  6. Bank to 550, upgrade range again.
  7. Do not sprinkle Gold into melee, walls, or cosmetics. Range only until it is actually strong.
  8. Stand off the spawn so splash covers the clump without eating your hitbox.
  9. At the wave-50 boss, buy the ~3,000 regen armor, kite, eat food.
  10. After Floppa, go back to stacking range toward max, then food, then walls.

That is ruthless and it works for solo. Co-op should not copy it blindly — someone still has to watch the fish. Split roles using builds.

Why range wins the marathon

Late cats are not one-shot fodder. Splash that covers a spawn camp deletes ten bodies while a sword deletes one. Yarn-style bounces and upgraded snowballs are the weapons the weapon tier list puts at the top for a reason. Laser cannons show up in co-op VODs as expensive turrets of personal damage — buy them when the ranged track is already healthy, not as a panic button at wave 48.

Food upgrades become mandatory when chip damage outruns regen. Infinite-feeling food is a shop track, not a script (unless you open the auto farm page, which is a different lifestyle).

Bosses after Floppa

  • El Gato — tanky. Your range rank is the fight. Do not check if melee “feels better.”
  • Bongo Cat — the release-era “strongest cat” badge. Treat it like a DPS and puddle check.
  • King Meowl — later update, sub-1% badge rate. You need the whole kit: class, food, armor, range.
  • Emperor Maxwell — huge, crown, almost nobody has the badge. If you are here, you already know the kite. Bring a Medic friend anyway.

Badge math lives on updates / badges. Use it to pick a realistic session goal. Wave 150 at 3% is a better Friday night than pretending Maxwell is a warm-up.

Classes that scale

Snowman keeps paying because AoE loves dense waves. Medic starts paying in co-op the first time someone face-tanks Maxwell. Knight scales with armor buys. Alchemist is a delayed daily; do not stall a wave-100 attempt waiting for day 7 if you already have a working class. Rankings: class tier list.

Events and economy

Push high-wave badges during Golden Weekend when Gold is x2. Redeem live codes on the character you will actually play; alts do not share the shop. Expired strings will not carry you — see expired codes.

Failure patterns at wave 80+

  • Walls maxed, damage still tutorial-tier.
  • No food, regen armor sold the plan.
  • Standing in green because “I had HP.”
  • Public 18-player server with six people shopping and zero people on the fish.
  • Scripts desynced after a patch, character frozen in the lane. If you use them, read auto upgrade first.

Reset is cheaper than forcing a dead shop. The fish does not give participation Gold for bravery.

When range is maxed and Floppa is homework, the only content left is patience, puddles, and named cats. That is the game. The upgrade priority checklist is the short version of this page for the shop tab.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Cat Invaders questions.

What is a good Cat Invaders wave goal?

Wave 50 for Floppa, wave 100 for a real kit check. Wave 500 and 1000 are rare badges, not beginner targets.

Should I upgrade walls for high waves?

After damage and food. Early max walls are the most common reason people stall at wave 40.

Is solo or co-op better for wave 100?

Solo for control and the snowball route. Co-op if you have a Medic and a shop lead.

Does Golden Weekend help high waves?

Yes. x2 Gold is the best time to buy regen armor and skip dead shop minutes.
