Cat Invaders Named Bosses
El Gato, Bongo Cat, King Meowl, and Emperor Maxwell — same kite, harder wallets.
Floppa is the search people type. The rest of the named ladder is why high-wave badges stall. This page is the map after how to beat Floppa: El Gato, Bongo Cat, King Meowl, and Emperor Maxwell. Same Roblox experience as Cat Invasion. Same Gold shop. Same green ground that is still not a heal.
Read high waves for the shop order. This article is the fight notes so you stop treating every nametag like a new game.
Shared rules for every named cat
- Range first. Splash that covers a spawn camp beats a sword on a house-sized model.
- Regen armor around the 3,000 Gold breakpoint before the first named spawn, not after the first wipe.
- Food on a hotkey you can mash while strafing. Tuna is the meme; any heal you can eat mid-kite is fine.
- Do not stand in green. Jump out. The puddle is a wipe, not a buff.
- Kite off the fish. If the boss commits on you, drag it to the arena edge so teammates can peel adds and repair.
- Pause shop when the server lets you. Panic walls at 11:59 of a laser do not save the pile.
Co-op of up to 18 still wants a Medic and a shop lead. Solo is slower and cleaner. Aim assist on — see controls.
El Gato
El Gato is the tanky follow-up. The badge is rarer than Defeat Floppa because the HP check is honest: your weapon ranks either delete the body or you time out while adds eat fish.
Do not test melee “to see if it feels better.” It does not. Keep the snowball / yarn / splash track you used on Floppa and add food so regen armor is not a costume. If you unlocked Engineer from Version 1.1, a turret on the lane buys seconds; it does not replace DPS.
Kite in a wide circle. El Gato punishes people who backpedal in a wooden corridor. Perpendicular strafe, eat, shoot the clump, repeat. When the nametag dies, do not dump leftover Gold into cosmetics. The next named cat is already in the mix.
Bongo Cat
Bongo Cat was billed as the strongest cat at original release. The badge text still reads that way even after later bosses arrived. Treat it as a DPS plus puddle check, not a puzzle.
If your splash is maxed and you still lose, you stood in color or you let adds chew the objective during the highlight reel. Call “fish” in co-op. One player peels. Everyone else keeps the boss moving.
Knight with plates can body-block a beat if the laser is on someone else. Everyone else stays ranged. Alchemist day-7 unlocks do not skip this fight; they just make the next one less miserable. Class notes: player classes.
King Meowl
King Meowl arrived in a later update. Badge rate sits well under one percent on public trackers. You need the whole kit: a class that scales, food track, regen armor, and range that is not the tutorial throw.
This is where Golden Weekend matters. x2 combat Gold is how you buy the last splash ranks in one session instead of three Tuesdays. Codes (25MVISITS, 1MMEMBERS) still pay a flat 250 — they do not double, they just start the wallet.
Do not max walls and then wonder why Meowl lives forever. Wood delays a wipe. Damage ends the nametag. Upgrade priority is the short checklist if you are shopping under pressure.
Emperor Maxwell
Emperor Maxwell is huge, crowned, and almost nobody owns the badge. If you are here, you already know the kite. Bring a Medic friend anyway. Solo Maxwell is a food test and a patience test. Public 18-player Maxwell is a screenshot test — six people filming, zero people on the fish.
Same lasers, bigger HP, less room for a melee joke. Vampire weapon lines and Engineer turrets from Version 1.1 help the lane. They do not let you stand still. If a script froze you in the puddle, that is on the auto farm page, not on Maxwell.
Session goals that are not delusions
- New account: Floppa the same night you redeem codes.
- Returning player: El Gato during an x2 window.
- Badge hunter: Bongo, then Meowl, with friends-only servers so the shop is yours.
- Maxwell: treat it as a season goal, not a Friday warm-up. Ten-odd accounts on the rarest wave badges exist for a reason.
Checkpoints mean a wipe is not always a full lobby reset after Version 1.1. Use that. Do not ego a dead shop into Maxwell because you “almost had him.”
There is still no public Trello that lists spawn waves. Discord and the OneBed Studio group post the patch; this page posts the fight. When a new nametag ships, we add a section instead of inventing a secret board.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Cat Invaders questions.
Which Cat Invaders boss comes after Floppa?
El Gato is the tanky follow-up. Bongo Cat, King Meowl, and Emperor Maxwell sit later on the badge ladder.
Do later bosses need a different shop?
No. Stack range, regen armor, and food. Walls last. The upgrade priority list still applies.
Can I melee King Meowl or Maxwell?
Only a plated Knight while the laser is elsewhere. Everyone else stays on splash.
Is Maxwell even possible in public servers?
Rarely. Friends-only or a called Medic group. Public 18-player lobbies turn into screenshots.
