Cat Invaders Classes

What each class is for, how people unlock it, and when to ignore the drip.

Class Guide

Classes are the identity layer on top of the Cat Invaders shop. You still buy ranged splash. You still eat tuna. The class decides whether your mistake is forgiven (Medic), absorbed (Knight), or turned into a bigger puddle (Snowman). This page is the kit explainer; letters live on the class tier list, shopping splits on builds.

OneBed Studio did not publish a complete handbook. What follows is what players actually use in lobbies, VODs, and badge runs.

Medic

Job: keep humans upright.
When: any co-op that is not a coordinated stack of veterans.
Shop: food first, modest range, do not race the carry for laser cannons.
Fail mode: standing in Floppa lasers “to heal closer.” Heal from a place that still exists.

If your group wipes with no Medic, that is the class guide. If your group wipes with a Medic who bought only swords, that is also the class guide.

Knight

Job: be the person who can eat a hit and still hold the fish.
When: you already intended to buy regen armor for wave 50.
Shop: armor, then enough damage that you are not a decorative wall.
Fail mode: zero food, full plates, dead anyway because green ground does not respect drip.

Knight plus Medic is the boring Floppa pair that works. See how to beat Floppa.

Snowman

Job: AoE.
When: solo, or co-op carry.
Shop: the entire ranged splash track. You are the weapon tier list in costume.
Fail mode: standing in the clump you are bombing.

Snowman is why high waves tells you to play solo with aim assist. The class and the route are the same thought.

Alchemist

Job: delayed hybrid / support unlock.
How: community consensus is daily reward day 7, not a code, not a badge.
When: after you can already clear Floppa without it.
Fail mode: skipping a week of play to “wait for Alchemist” while Golden Weekend is live.

Log in, claim, play your real class in between.

Ninja

Job: later grind class people mention when they talk about scripts and long sessions.
When: you have a functioning splash kit and want a second identity.
Fail mode: treating Ninja as a beginner requirement. It is not on the Getting Started critical path.

Engineer (Version 1.1)

Job: turrets and the mason fantasy OneBed Studio actually shipped.
When: co-op that wants extra barrels, or solo if you already have splash and want a parked gun.
Shop: still buy range first from upgrade priority, then feed the turret row.
Fail mode: skipping splash to “main Engineer” and watching cats walk around a level-1 sentry.

Vampire / Necromancer / Builder

Player chat and VODs keep naming Vampire (and a Vampire-class weapon from Version 1.1), Necromancer (solo wave comments), and Builder. Treat them as real shop identities, not codes. If you own one, play it like the nearest job: Vampire as a combat kit, Necromancer as a later solo, Builder as walls-plus. Rankings stay on the class tier list until a kit is proven in Floppa, not in a thumbnail.

Grenade kits

Throw damage for clumps. Overlaps the grenade weapon track. Fun, slightly worse than Snowman at the same job, better than melee at wave 40.

How unlocks usually work

  • Gold in the class shop.
  • Daily calendar (Alchemist).
  • Playtime / progression gates for later names.
  • Not the codes list. Codes are Gold.

If a YouTuber says “new class code,” they mean a Gold code that helps you buy a class. Paste it with how to redeem anyway if it is still live.

Picking without a spreadsheet

Solo opener: Snowman or whatever splash class you own.
Duo: Medic + splash.
Chaos 18: Medic first, then splash, then Knight.
Boss night: Knight or Medic, splash still DPS.

Perks sit on top of classes. Buy perks that support the job (more heal, more armor, more throw) instead of random movement speed if you already cannot aim. How to play covers perks as a progression layer.

Your class is a promise to the lobby. Say it, shop it, and do not secretly be a fourth melee.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Cat Invaders questions.

How do I unlock Alchemist in Cat Invaders?

Claim daily rewards through day 7. It is not sold as a promo code.

Can I use Medic in solo?

Yes, but Snowman or Knight usually converts Gold into waves faster when nobody else can die.

Do classes cost Robux?

The core loop is Gold and dailies. Ignore anyone selling class codes on random sites.

Which class is best for Floppa?

Medic in a group, Knight if you are the tank, Snowman if you are the damage. Weapons still carry the HP bar.
